Probably the most popular webcam of Mt Katahdin is the KatahdinCam. This cam is located east of the mountain and the view includes (left to right) Pamola/Baxter Peak, Great Basin and Hamlin Peak. This cam refreshes every 15 minutes.
Two equally impressive cams are located to the south of Mt Katahdin.
- The closest cam to the mountain is located at Twin Pine Camps on Millinocket Lake. Katahdin dominates the view from across the lake. Included is a current time-lapse video with temperature, and wind speed info.
- The next webcam is located at 5 Lakes Lodge on South Twin Lake. The view is equally impressive even thought it is further away.
The next time your heading up to Mt Katahdin, check out one of these web cams first!
Nice site Kurt. I'll be sure to poke around
ReplyDeletein here some more. Me, Andy and Pete heading to Abol CG tomorrow night. Shooting to get to Hamlin on Friday for Pete's 99th Winter NEHH. If all goes well we three are going to attempt to all finish our Winter NEHH on Mt Jefferson on Sunday March 4th.
Wish us luck!
