Katahdin Cam

Mt Katahdin is the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. At 5268' it is the highest mountain in Maine and the center piece of Baxter State Park. Before you head out  for your trip check out the conditions using these web cams!

Probably the most popular webcam of Mt Katahdin is the KatahdinCam. This cam is located east of the mountain and the view includes (left to right) Pamola/Baxter Peak, Great Basin and Hamlin Peak. This cam refreshes every 15 minutes.

Two equally impressive cams are located to the south of Mt Katahdin.
  • The closest cam to the mountain is located at Twin Pine Camps on Millinocket Lake.  Katahdin dominates the view from across the lake. Included is a current time-lapse video with temperature, and wind speed info.
  • The next webcam is located at 5 Lakes Lodge on South Twin Lake. The view is equally impressive even thought it is further away.
This last webcam is located to the west of Katahdin in historic Chesuncook Village. The Chesuncook Lake House Cam refreshes every 60 seconds and the view of Katahdin from across the lake is one seldom seen.

The next time your heading up to Mt Katahdin, check out one of these web cams first!
